Mustang boys basketball team wins regional title, advances to sectional semi-final on March 12th

For the first time in 20 years, the Menomonie boys basketball team is a Regional Champion. They defeated Rhinelander 65-61 last Saturday to advance to the sectional semi-finals. They have a game tonight (Thursday, March 12th) at Hudson against the New Richmond Tigers. Doors will open for spectators at 6:00 pm, and tip-off will be at 7:00 pm. Anna Jean Voldberg, 24, of Menomonie, left us unexpectedly on February 18th, leaving a space in our lives that can never be filled. Anna was so many things to the people who loved her; a daughter who brought warmth into every room, a sister who could make you laugh even on the hardest days, a fiancée who dreamed of a beautiful future, and a friend who showed up with her whole heart. She had a gentle spirit, a giving nature, and a way of making others feel seen and supported.
