On 11/12/23 at approximately 1 pm, the Menomonie Police Department and Menomonie Fire and Rescue responded to the area of Walmart in North Menomonie, for a report of a car striking a person that was riding a bicycle.
The male subject that was riding the pedal bicycle was transported by med-flight helicopter from the scene with serious injuries.
After further investigation by officers, it was determined that the subject traveling by bicycle was traveling eastbound through the Synergy Cooperative parking lot and then struck the side of a vehicle that was traveling northbound through the west entry/exit portion of the Walmart parking lot.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing and there are no further updates on the injuries to the bicycle rider.
