The Boys & Girls Club recently announced that programming at the Menomonie Middle School has been suspended due to loss of funding.
The letter below was sent to donors and supporters earlier this summer.

Boys & Girls Club Donors & Supporters –
Thank you for continuing to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley and enabling us to provide high-quality programming for 970 youth in five communities (Altoona, Black River Falls, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, and Menomonie).
We want to share some information with you regarding our Menomonie Middle School location. Recently, our Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to suspend operations at the Menomonie Middle School after receiving notice about the loss of sustainable funding for that location. This means we will not be offering services to teens at the Menomonie Middle School for the start of the 2024-2025 school year in September, as we have since November 2022.
We are taking the steps necessary to remain fiscally sound and to ensure we can continue our services at the River Heights location, which serves youth from all Menomonie area elementary schools. The economic landscape and the recent significant loss of government funding sources continue to be a constraint on our operations. We rely very much on the contributions from the community to sustain our life-altering programming.
We do not take lightly that these changes may impact those we currently serve and those we hope to serve in 2025. Our leadership team and our Board of Directors will continue to carefully monitor our financial position and will adjust as we are able to.
We appreciate your trust in our organization and look forward to continuing to provide high-quality programming for the youth in our communities, in a sustainable way.
