At 8:10 AM on Thursday December 28, 2023, a crash occurred on I-94 EB at Interstate 94 eastbound in Dunn County near Menomonie. The crash involved no fatalities or injuries.
The details of the crash are as follows:
The Wisconsin State Patrol, Northwest Region, Eau Claire Post received information from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department regarding a carjacking that occurred in St. Paul, MN. A firearm was implied, but not displayed. Ramsay County was tracking the vehicle eastbound on Interstate 94 in Dunn County. A State Trooper located the vehicle traveling eastbound on Interstate 94 near milepost 39 in Dunn County. The Trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle fled and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle exited the Interstate east of Menomonie, but eventually continued eastbound on Interstate 94. A State Patrol Inspector performed a pursuit intervention technique on the fleeing vehicle near milepost 59 in Eau Claire County. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Dunn County Jail.
