Charlene L. (Johnson) Meixner, age 73, of Menomonie, WI, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Barron Care & Rehab, after a courageous battle with dementia.
Born on October 4, 1951, in Rush City, MN, to Allan and Donna (Norland) Johnson, Charlene developed a profound love for reading from a young age. Her passion for literature led her to pursue a Master's degree in English, reflecting her dedication to education and the written word.
In her marriage to Roger Meixner, Charlene found a partner who shared her love for adventure. Together, they explored the western United States, with the scenic drives offering Charlene ample time to indulge in her favorite pastime of reading.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Roger Meixner of Barnes, WI (formerly of Wheeler, WI); her brother, Brad (Maureen) Johnson; her sister, Denise (Greg) Hamilton; and several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allan and Donna (Norland) Johnson. Charlene's love for literature and her adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
No formal services are being held at this time.
