Chippewa Valley Songwriter Circle - January 8th

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8TH AT 7:00 PM

The Chippewa Valley Songwriter Circle was created by Lee Mynett of Eau Claire in 2019. Lee has a long songwriting and teaching history and many musical friends, so she warmly invited several of us into her home to form a small songwriting salon. It has been both fulfilling and great fun discussing and practicing the art of writing a song.

We write and meet in different venues each month, using a particular prompt or subject or whatever strikes; then we have an option to acoustically play our songs for each other as they emerge, whether simple or complex, silly or profound. This is a supportive and at times a cathartic way of inspiring and challenging each other to express ourselves through music and lyrics.

The group is composed of talented individual singer-songwriters, growing from 6 members to now about 20 writers from all over the Chippewa Valley. The CVSC is open to all who have the desire and time to write and play songs that have meaning, that come from the heart, hopefully generating a connection with other musicians and a listening audience. Isn't that what songs should do?
