The Board of Directors of Downtown Menomonie, Inc. is pleased to announce that Becca Schoenborn has been hired as the Executive Director of Menomonie's business improvement district.
Becca was serving as the organization's vice chair and has served on the organization's board since 2020. In 2022, she completed a redesign and update of the organization's website in addition to her committee leadership roles.
She will be leaving her role as the Outreach and Education Coordinator at the Menomonie Market Food Co-op. A position that she has held since 2014. While at the Menomonie Food Co-op, Becca was responsible for developing and managing all programs connecting the Co-op to the greater community. She provided leadership to internal and external events, marketing, networking, public relations, and business development.
"We are very excited to have a person of Becca's caliber in the position," stated Downtown Menomonie Board Chair Michael Stewart. "She has proven herself as an outstanding leader for our organization. Her experiences with the Co-op and with our Board will provide a tremendous foundation to advance the economic development of our downtown business district."
We would also like to thank Phil Lyons for his time as Executive Director and wish him well in his new position with Veregy Corporation.
