The details of the crash are as follows:
On February 25, 2024, at approximately 12:49 pm, a 2-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 25 near Northline Road in Dunn County. Preliminary investigation shows a pickup truck traveling southbound pulled into the northbound lanes to pass a vehicle and drove head-on into a passenger car traveling northbound. The driver of the passenger car was fatally injured as a result of the crash. The driver of the pickup truck received minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The driver of the passenger car, who died as a result of the crash, has been identified as 57-year-old Tony Alan Swanson from Boyceville.
The driver of the pickup truck has been identified at 56-year-old Barbara Jean McLennan from Chetek. She was transported to Mayo Clinic Red Cedar Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is conducting the crash investigation and crash reconstruction.
Assisting agencies included Dunn County Sheriff’s Department, Menomonie Police Department, and Menomonie Fire Department.
