Today we would like to recognize Deputy Jacob Blum. Deputy Blum was recognized at the Capitol in Madison on Tuesday, October 17th for being the "First Responder of the Year" in the 29th Assembly District, represented by State Rep. Clint P. Moses, for his heroic actions in January 2023.
For these heroic efforts, Deputy Blum was also awarded the Sheriff’s Office’s highest honor, the Medal of Valor, by Sheriff Bygd.
These awards were presented to Deputy Blum for his actions take in response an armed home invasion in the City of Menomonie in January 2023.
