Game Quest Gaming celebrates 25 years in business

Samantha Adams, General Manager at Game Quest Gaming

Here is the next installment in a series that highlights new and existing businesses in Menomonie. By supporting a small business, you are also supporting our local community!

Business:

Game Quest Gaming is celebrating 25 years in business. They’ve been in various locations and gone by various names - Treasures & Toy Emporium, Toyriffic, and Game Quest USA - during that time. They rebranded to Game Quest Gaming and moved to their current location at 326 Main Street E. in October 2015.

They recently started renting the building next door (the old Uptown Curl location) and will use it as event space for gaming leagues and video game tournaments. In addition, the space will be available to rent out for parties.

Owner:

Game Quest Gaming, in all its various forms, was started and is still owned by Kimberly Lovett. In addition to the Menomonie location, there are stores in River Falls and St. Croix Falls. Her daughter Samantha Adams is the General Manager and hopes to take over the business one day.

About the Business:

Game Quest Gaming is proud to be a family-owned and family-oriented business.

“My mom started the original store when I was a little girl, and I’ve grown up with the business,” Adams said. “We’re always adapting to gaming industry changes and continue to expand what we offer. We are very excited about adding our event space next door and giving people another option for parties and gatherings.”

Board games have many benefits, including developing social skills and cognitive function. They are also a great way to get away from screens.

“Board games and role-playing games can really bring friends and families together. We have a large selection of Haba board games for kids as young as two that teach colors, shapes, and numbers,” shared Adams. “Games are a great way to learn and develop imagination.”

To celebrate 25 years in business, Game Quest Gaming is celebrating with 25 days of sales from Friday, November 25th to December 19th. (See below for more information)

“It’s been a great 25 years in Menomonie, and we are looking forward to many more years serving Menomonie,” Adams said.
