On Thursday, February 29 the Healthcare Workforce Training Institute will hold a Grand Opening for their new Menomonie Education Center. The event will run from 3:30 – 5:30 pm in their new training space located at 2901 Forbes Avenue in Menomonie in the Arrowhead Lodge on Howison Circle.
This new training space will provide nurse aide (CNA) classes that are open to anyone interested in attending from the community, as well as employees of any skilled nursing facility, acute care hospital, or other local healthcare.
“We are excited to offer the Institute’s high quality, time effective nurse aide training to those in Menomonie and the surrounding areas,” explained Paula Gibson, Director of the Healthcare Workforce Training Institute. “Our students are able to complete our state-approved 75-hour course in just 2 weeks for day classes and 3 weeks for night classes. This allows them to enter the healthcare workforce quickly and with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful.”
The first nurse aide training class scheduled at the Institute’s new Menomonie Education Center will start Monday, March 11 and will run from 4:00 pm – 9:30 pm, Monday – Friday with the class ending on Friday, March 29. Cost to attend is $535, which includes all textbooks and printed materials. To register for the class or learn more about the Institute, visit www.healthcareworkforcetraining.com, call 715-726-3849, or email info@healthcareworkforcetraining.com.
“We have graduated over 600 CNAs since opening our doors in June of 2022, but healthcare providers continue to be in need of well-trained employees,” stated Gibson. “Our goal is to help ensure that they have a readily available workforce to meet their needs and the needs of those they serve. This is why we have already scheduled another nurse aide training class to start on Monday, April 1 and plan to offer a revolving class calendar for the foreseeable future."
