Kevin A. Henderson

Kevin Arnold Henderson, 57, of Menomonie, Wisconsin, was called to heaven in his sleep in the early hours of December 25, 2024, to spend Christmas Day with Jesus after a battle with Multiple System Atrophy.

Kevin was born to Arnold and Marlene Henderson on August 17, 1967. He spent his early years milking cows on the family farm, playing football and basketball for the Menomonie Indians, dating the assistant principal’s daughter, Catherine, and going on to technical school, where he earned degrees in electromechanical engineering and paramedicine. He then worked as a paramedic in Madison, Eau Claire, and Hudson, Wisconsin. He married Catherine Mehne on October 12, 1991, and together they raised two wonderful daughters, Kenya and Carissa.

He started his landscaping company, Henderson Excavating & Landscape Supply, in 1997 and spent the remainder of his career doing what he loved most: playing in the dirt with his excavators and working with customers. The family traveled often, usually fishing at Press Lake, Canada, scuba diving in Cozumel, Mexico, or driving side-by-sides out West. Kevin maintained his positivity, his kindness, his great love for his family and friends, and his faith until the very end. Even as his family grieves his death, they rejoice in the eternal peace he has stepped into.

Kevin was preceded in death by his aunt Marion Heitkamp, uncles Fred Heitkamp, Verdell Oakland, and Verlyn Williams, as well as his sister, Lisa Henderson.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Henderson; his daughters Kenya Holderbecker (Tanner) and Carissa Henderson; his brother David Henderson (Jody); his parents Arnold and Marlene Henderson; his in-laws Herb and Judy Mehne, Stephanie and John Clark, Sharleen and Paul Diel, Kent Mehne; nieces and nephews Juli Wilson (Drew), Brooklyn Cauwels (Matthew), Daniel Henderson, Sean Clark (Amber), Ryan Clark, Marlayna Diel, and Jacob Diel.

A visitation will be held at Olson’s Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2nd, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral will be held at Living Hope Lutheran Church in Menomonie on Friday, January 3rd, at 4:00 pm, with a short visitation beginning at 3:00 pm.

The family invites all who knew Kevin to a celebration of life at the Off Broadway Banquet Center in Menomonie immediately following the funeral. Please bring your favorite Kevin memory to share.
