Parents in Menomonie will soon have a new option for before and after school child care. Kidz Adventure Zone - located just south of Menomonie - is scheduled to open this March.
Owner Teresa Johnson, who also owns Bouncin’ Babies and Kool Kids Childcare Center and Preschool, had been wanting to expand the before and after school care options available in Menomonie for some time.
“I wanted to do something unique and super fun for the kids. After much planning and asking them what activities they would enjoy, I came up with Kidz Adventure Zone,” Johnson explained.
Kidz Adventure Zone will offer a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including mini-golf, an indoor mini-football field, basketball court, dance party machine, karaoke and a BEAM game system, which is a state-of-the-art virtual playground with 3D motion technology.
A go-kart track, frisbee golf, volleyball court and kickball field will be coming later this spring.
Johnson has been working with Menomonie Transportation and the Menomonie School District, and will be able to provide bus service to and from many of the schools in Menomonie with hopes to eventually offer service to all schools.
Kidz Adventure Zone is for children ages 7 and up. During the school year, hours will be from 6:00-8:30 AM and from 3:30-6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. They will be open in the summer to provide before and after school care while the Menomonie School District’s Summer Academy is in session.
