Last summer with the Burger King Classic Car shows no longer being held at the Menomonie location, a few local car enthusiasts started meeting in the mall parking lot on Saturday mornings. They labeled their group Menomonie Cars and Caffeine. Looking to get more involvement, the group decided to change things up this summer and switched to a weekday evening.
Hoping to bring business to a local establishment, Menomonie Cars and Caffeine reached out to Burger King and asked to use their parking lot. Burger King graciously agreed and that is where the group will meet every other Thursday at 5:30 pm, June through the first week in October.
This is not a car show, rather an informal get together for car enthusiasts, and while it's mainly classic and older muscle cars, more modern sports cars may be spotted too. Anyone with a classic car is welcome to come and show it off.
The group emphasizes that they are not associated with Burger King or the Burger King Classic Car Shows. While the Burger King classic car shows are no longer being held in Menomonie, they are still taking place at the other Burger King locations around the Chippewa Valley.
The public is welcome to stop by and check out the cars.
A member of the group summed up their purpose - "There are a lot of nice cars in the Menomonie area that people never get to see. We are hoping to offer something that is accessible, casual, and laid back for the car enthusiasts and hopefully they have fun!"
