Menomonie resident sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexual assault of young girl

Dunn County District Attorney Andrea Nodolf announced that on February 19, 2024, Kory Cockeram was sentenced to 25 years in prison following a trial by jury.

On October 17, 2023, a Dunn County jury found the defendant guilty of multiple counts of child sexual abuse between July 2012 - March 2013 when the victim was four to five years old.

Dunn County Circuit Court Judge Luke Wagner sentenced Kory Cockeram to a 32-year prison sentence with 25 years of initial confinement followed by 7 years of extended supervision. Cockeram previously served prison sentences in 2016 from robbery with threat of force convictions in Dunn and Eau Claire counties.

District Attorney Andrea Nodolf commends this young victim for having the courage to disclose what happened to her. The convictions were the result of an investigation by the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office and assistance by Children’s Wisconsin and their Child Advocacy Center. The District Attorney’s Office thanks these agencies for their tireless efforts.
