Menomonie Theater Guild 2024-25 season shows

The Menomonie Theater Guild has announced the shows selected for their upcoming 2024-25 season.

Y'all know that MTG looooooooves a great mystery in the fall, so we are starting off strong with Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None, directed by Russell Slack.

And Then There Were None begins with ten strangers summoned to a remote location. The guests have little in common, except a wicked past they're unwilling to reveal and a secret that will seal their fate. As the weather turns nasty and the group is cut off from civilization, the mystery begins, and one by one they are murdered following the lines of a sinister nursery rhyme. It's a classical "whodunit" and a great way to kick off the MTG 2024-25 season!

Shows will be held the weekends of October 11-13 and 18-20, 2024, and we can't wait to see you there!

Leapin' lizards, Menomonie Theater Guild is thrilled to announce our holiday show in 2024 will be the beloved classic musical......ANNIE!

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations... and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Directed for MTG by the dynamic duo Nell Heifner-Johnson and Matt Wigdahl, Annie will grace the stage on the weekends of December 6-8, and 13-15, 2024. You won't want to miss this one!

Menomonie Theater Guild 2024-25 season announcements continue with the beautiful story of The Little Prince, an enchanting tale that will warm hearts in the cold of a Wisconsin winter.

After his plane crashes in the Sahara, a pilot is plotting his survival strategy when a little prince with a gleeful spirit appears. Over the course of a week, the prince tells the pilot tales of his intergalactic travels to various planets, Earth included. Each story sheds new light on their philosophical questions until the two unlikely companions find the answers — and their lives — hanging in the balance. Full of whimsy and wonder, this imaginative fairy tale studies the contrast between the innocence of youth and the inevitable realities of adulthood.

Directed for MTG by theater veteran Katie Bovee, The Little Prince will take place the weekends of February 21-23, and February 28 - March 2, 2025

It's time to announce the last (but NOT least!) show of the Menomonie Theater Guild 2024-25 season - The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

This heartfelt musical comedy follows an eclectic group of six teens who compete for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Eight spellers enter; one speller leaves! At least the losers get a juice box.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will hit the stage the weekends of May 2-4, and 9-11, 2025, and is directed for MTG by the talented Carol Ropella.
