WESTconsin Credit Union is holding a donation drive.

The first day of school is right around the corner. Students deserve to have access to the hygiene products they need to start the year off fresh and clean, so they are ready to learn! August 5–17, all WESTconsin offices are collecting personal hygiene items, such as:

  • Soap

  • Body wash

  • Shampoo and conditioner

  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste

  • Deodorant

  • Lotions

  • Hair combs and brushes

  • Feminine products

And other helpful products, as well as monetary donations.

100% of the donations will go to students in our service area through our community partners!

Volume One recently did a story about the Mabel Tainter's new steps. You can read it HERE.

The City of Menomonie has achieved Bird City status from the Bird City Wisconsin program again! What does this mean? To be recognized as a Bird City, a community must take action across four categories (Habitat, Threat Reduction, Education and engagement, and Sustainability) and officially recognize and celebrate World Migratory Bird Day.
