Notes for the Week - December 21st

Do you have a stack of unused greeting cards? The Menomonie Senior Center accepts donations of any (unused) greeting cards and sells them for 10 cents each. If you are looking to purchase, they have a wide variety to choose from.

City of Menomonie residents - Did you end up with some burned out lights while you decked your halls this year? If so, bring light strands to the City Solid Waste Site for free recycling. Don't toss light strands in your recycling bin as they wrap around equipment at the sorting facility and cause problems.

WQOW stopped by The Great Escape and covered the Grinches visit. You can watch the clip HERE.

The Sheriff's Office and Dunn County have several used vehicles for sale. If interested visit the Wisconsin Surplus website.

This week Fun In Dunn was featured on WEAU's Hello Wisconsin. (Last week it was featured on WQOW). Watch the clip HERE.

Stepping Stones is in need of volunteers to cook meals for residents of Cairn House (the new homeless shelter). If you're able to help, sign up HERE.

Menomonie Police Department Lieutenant Matt Benrud recently traveled to Honduras on a mission trip. While there, he donated body armor to law enforcement officers. Body armor is a necessity for law enforcement, but it is not affordable for Hondurans.
