Dragon Tale Books has hosted a number of talks by authors and local residents at the store. Many of them are recorded and available on the Dragon Tale Books YouTube channel.
If you borrow audiobooks from the library, you may have wondered why it takes so long to get them after you place a hold. Here's a video from NPR that gives a great explanation.
March 2nd is Read Across America Day! In Dunn County, we have many libraries with no cost to residents; you just need a library card! Boyceville Public Library, Colfax Public Library, Menomonie Public Library, Elk Mound Public Library, and Sand Creek Public

Screen time can be entertaining, but nothing replaces the magic of reading to children. Hearing words in context repeatedly helps them understand and use language effectively. A strong vocabulary at an early age sets the foundation for success in school and beyond. Give the gift of words—read aloud to children of all ages! Make it engaging with fun questions, dramatic expressions, and playful voices.

Should you ever receive a phone call, text message, or email from an alleged government agency requiring you to make a payment with a gift card to avoid arrest, satisfy a fine, etc. DO NOT PAY!

You may be eligible for financial assistance—up to $16,000—to replace, reconstruct, treat, or abandon your well if it's contaminated. Need to test your water first? Water testing kits are now available at the Dunn County Health Department:

 Bacteria + Nitrate Kit – $55
