OWI arrest made after high-speed pursuit

Paul Martin Allen, 28 years of age, from Hudson WI has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 6th offense.  


On 7/25/2024 at 1:54 AM a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper attempted to stop a vehicle for unsafe lane deviation at milepost 45 in Dunn County near Menomonie on I-94. The vehicle failed to stop, and a pursuit ensued reaching speeds over 100 mph. Tire deflation devices were effectively deployed near milepost 25 in St. Croix County. The suspect vehicle slowed and exited the interstate at exit 24 near Woodville where the Trooper was able to successfully perform a pursuit intervention technique maneuver which brought the pursuit to an end. 28-year-old Paul Allen the operator of the vehicle showed signs of impairment. He was taken into custody for 6th offense operating under the influence of intoxicants, Felony Fleeing, and Operating after Revocation. Paul was transported to Mayo Menomonie Hospital for an evidentiary test of his blood and then incarcerated at the Dunn County Jail.
