It's been a busy winter for Dunn County Highway, and our first plow truck has been outfitted with new green flashing lights!
During the spring of 2022, Wisconsin Act 255 went into effect. It allowed municipal highway departments to add flashing green lights to their trucks and snowplows. These lights create more contrast and make plow trucks more visible during weather events. It is an effective way to increase safety for our drivers and people out on the roads.
The new green flashing lights will be retrofitted to our I94 and STH 29 plow trucks. Currently, these are the only trucks with green lights, but more will be equipped with them in the future.
