Stepping Stones announces cancellation of Local Food Purchase Assistance Program

We're facing a significant challenge: the USDA has canceled the Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA) program for 2025, resulting in a loss of over $100,000 in value of fresh, local produce, meat, and dairy.

This reduction will directly impact the quantity of nutritious food available in our pantry as it is the primary resource for our Farmers Feed Dunn County Program.

How can you help?

  • Gardeners: Consider dedicating a portion of your garden to grow fresh produce for Stepping Stones.

  • Community Members: Support local farms by purchasing their products, bolstering our local food system.

  • Donors: Continue your generous support through donations to Stepping Stones, enabling us to purchase nutritious food for community members using our services.

Together, we can overcome this obstacle and ensure our community continues to thrive.
