Over 75 trees and shrubs have been planted on city-owned property along Galloway Creek near 5th St W thanks to funding and volunteers from Lower Chippewa Invasives Partnership. Many thanks to the many students from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and Menomonie High School for the help planting trees, pounding posts, installing fence and watering the trees!
Over the past several years, volunteers from LCIP and students have been removing buckthorn and other invasive species from the property. The planting of these trees helps complete the restoration back to a native state for everyone to enjoy!
