On Tuesday January 2, 2024, Samuel Miller (L) and Adam Hackbarth (R) were sworn in as police officers for the Menomonie Police Department by Judge James Peterson.
Officer Miller is an Eau Claire, WI native who graduated with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and public administration from Winona State University. He then earned his master's degree from Hamline University in Public Administration. You may recognize Officer Miller, as he has previous law enforcement experience with the Dunn County Sheriff’s Office and holds certifications as an instructor in General LE, Constitutional Law, OMVWI/SFST Enforcement, and Field Training. He will now begin his field training program with the Menomonie Police Department.
Officer Hackbarth is a rural Menomonie, WI native who attended Chippewa Valley Technical College. He will now attend the Basic Law Enforcement Academy that begins on Monday, January 8th at CVTC. After graduation from the law enforcement academy, he will begin his field training program with the Menomonie Police Department.
