Update: Water Main Break at 1st Avenue & River Road

Wednesday, February 26, 2025 Update:

The City's contractor continued repairs today (Wednesday, February 26), successfully completing two of the three sets of valves and plugs.

The final set of valves and plugs is expected to be installed tomorrow (Thursday, February 27). As a result, a final water shutdown will take place in the same area as today (Wednesday, February 26), from 9 AM to 3 PM.

We appreciate residents' patience and understanding as we complete these critical water main repairs.

Previous updates:

7:00 AM Update: The Water Department has identified a water main break on River Road near ConAgra. River Road and 1st Ave will likely be closed at some point today for repairs. This post will be updated when we have more information.

8:30 AM Update: 1st Ave and River Road have re-opened to traffic. The water main break has been located and isolated.

If you have discolored water, run your cold water until it is clear.
