Assistant Police Chief Lisa Pederson has been recognized by the Wisconsin Committee of Employer Support of the Army National Guard and Reserve, a Department of Defense program, by being awarded the Employer Patriot Award.
She was nominated by Staff Sergeant Kyle Benton, a Police Officer who works at UW-Stout, for the high level of support she has provided SSG Benton while serving in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Through her understanding, flexibility, and encouragement, she has made it possible for SSG Benson to excel both in his role as a police officer and as a soldier in the National Guard.
