
The Lord reached out and took the hand of Victor “Vic” D. Jenson, age 92, on Thursday. January 30, 2025 with his family by his side at the Mayo Clinic Health System-Red Cedar in Menomonie, WI. He had a strong faith in our Lord and undying love of his family.
Vic was born on October 4, 1932 to Wilmer and Inez (Wagnild) Jenson. Vic grew up in Elk Mound and graduated from Elk Mound High School in 1950. He lived in Elk Mound his entire life.
Vic met and married the love of his life, Lorene “Lori” Hanevold on September 15, 1956. Together they had 5 children. Vic was a faithful member of Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church. Vic was an avid dart ball player and enjoyed playing the game for many years. He also was a hunter and fisherman, which led him on numerous trips to Canada, Alaska, Montana, and Wyoming. For many years, Vic was a volunteer Fireman in Elk Mound. Vic owned and operated Jenson’s Repair in Elk Mound. He also lived and worked on a farm outside of Elk Mound. Vic and Lori enjoyed many trips together with family and friends. Vic was proud to be a veteran from the United States Army. He will be remembered for his generosity, wit, and dry humor.
Vic is survived by his wife Lori of Elk Mound, two sons Bruce (Rhonda) and Brian (Jill), both of Elk Mound and two daughters Vicki (Geno) Johnson of Eau Claire and Wendy (Ryan) Sterry of Elk Mound; grandchildren Thea (Aaron), Adam (Steph), Jennifer, Becky (Brandon), Steven (Bailey), Susie (Greg), Katy (Andy), Stephanie (Joe), Sami (Andrew), Brooklyn and Andie; great grandchildren, Oliver, Stella, Talon, Nora, Hazel, Cecelia, Braxtin, Shantell, Jillian, Jackie, Julia, Journey, Lincoln, Ellie, Grayson, Landon, Emery, Bennett and Baylor; brother David, sisters Donna (Connie) Shager, Judy (Lyn) Dieter, and Elaine (Jim Giese), and his sister-in-law Jeanie (Morrie) Guinn. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son Mark Steven, his parents, Wilmer and Inez, sister Doris (Art)Mohr, brother-in-law Philip (Elsie) Hanevold, and many friends and family.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2025 at Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church in Elk Mound, WI with Pastor Natalie Leske officiating. Burial will be at Barum Cemetery, township of Elk Mound, Dunn County with military honors by the Russell-Toycen American Legion Post 131. There will be a visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
