Donation for lighting system upgrades contributes to $45,000 matching grant opportunity
The Mabel Tainter Center for the Arts is pleased to announce a $10,000 gift from WESTconsin Credit Union to assist with critical upgrades to the theater’s lighting systems. This donation is part of an exciting opportunity, as it moves The Mabel Tainter closer to meeting a $45,000 matching grant generously offered by Dean and Ana Weidner. Every donation to this project will be matched dollar for dollar, doubling the impact of each gift made.
The lighting system upgrades are a necessary upgrade for this historic theater, as the venue has not made major lighting enhancements in nearly 20 years. The upgrades will significantly expand the theater’s lighting capabilities, enabling greater functionality and flexibility in what the lighting system can achieve for performances and events. Additionally, the new system is expected to increase lighting energy efficiency by up to 80%, significantly reducing the cost and impact of running the building’s lights.
"The support from WESTconsin Credit Union is a huge step in helping us meet the
Weidners' $45,000 match and ultimately to completing our lighting upgrades" said
Lucas Chase, Executive Director for The Mabel Tainter Theater. "These lighting
upgrades are crucial for maintaining the high standard of shows and programming our patrons have come to expect, while also ensuring we remain energy-efficient and
future ready."
Community members interested in helping to meet the matching grant can do so by
making a donation through the theater's website or by contacting the theater directly.
With the opportunity to double the impact of each contribution, now is the perfect time to give for anyone who would like to support the project.
WESTconsin Credit Union’s contribution exemplifies its commitment to community
investment. With the support of both WESTconsin and Dean and Ana Weidner’s
matching grant, this project will ensure The Mabel Tainter remains a hub for high-quality performances and cultural enrichment for years to come.
