Work south of village of Colfax to close highway for construction
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is seeking public input on a proposed project replacing a culvert carrying a branch of Sinking Creek under WIS 40 south of the Dunn County village of Colfax.

Placed in 1938, the culvert is reaching the end of its service life. WisDOT is proposing to:
Replace the existing culvert.
Replace the roadway above the culvert.
Replace pavement markings.
During construction, WIS 40 will be closed, and traffic will be detoured.
Construction currently is scheduled for 2025.
